About Travel Life Vibes

Hi, We’re Ryan and Wayne!

Two longtime friends who got hooked on cruising later than most people expect.

Our first cruise was June 2025.

A 5-night Royal Caribbean sailing out of Baltimore on Vision of the Seas, with a day in Bermuda in the middle.

We booked it half on a whim, figuring we’d either love it or spend five days bored on a boat.

We were not bored.

By the time we walked off back in Baltimore, we were already talking about the next one.

That’s the whole reason this site exists.

Why We Started Travel Life Vibes

When we were planning that first trip, we read everything.

Blogs, forums, Facebook groups, the cruise line’s own site.

A lot of it was either generic filler or written by people who’d cruised 40 times and forgot what it feels like to be brand new at it.

We kept thinking the same thing. Where’s the honest version, written by people who just figured this out?

So we made it.

Travel Life Vibes is two regular guys sharing what we’ve actually learned, what surprised us, and what we’d do differently next time. No fake expertise. No pretending we’ve sailed every ship afloat.

What We Write About

Most of what we cover is the practical stuff first-time and early-stage cruisers actually Google.

Things like whether the drink package is worth buying, how cruise tipping actually works, and the hidden costs nobody warns you about before you book.

We dig into the major cruise lines, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity, and Princess, so you can figure out which one fits the trip you’re picturing.

And we keep an eye on cruise news, because the rules and prices change constantly.

If you’re trying to pick your first cruise, that’s a good place to start.

We’re Newer Cruisers, and That’s the Point

We’ll be straight with you.

We’re not 30-cruise veterans. We started in 2025.

Royal Caribbean is the line we know first-hand. When we write about something we haven’t personally done, we say so and tell you where the information came from.

We think that’s more useful than fake authority.

We still remember the questions you have right now, because we were asking them a year ago.

What’s Next for Us

We sail twice a year now.

Next up is Oasis of the Seas in June 2026, a 7-night Bahamas trip with a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay and our first-ever balcony cabin.

Then we’re back on Vision of the Seas in October 2026, sailing the same Baltimore-to-Bermuda route that started all of this.

Finally, Quantum of the Seas in December 2026!

We’ll be writing about all of them as we go.
